Trento

After surviving another end of the month, Peg suggested that we go see the mountains again for my birthday.  We got up a little early and drove east almost to Verona and then turned north to Trento and Bolzano.

As we got close to Trento there were Apple orchards everywhere.  They grow them in narrow rows. Mostly red and Golden Delicious.

After parking we walked toward centro and saw how they park cars here.  Half on the street and half on the side walk.

Interesting door knocker

Castle at the centro Town Piazza

With a great fountain.

At the other end of the piazza was this building with frescoes all over it.

Trent is in a valley and the mountains are very nice.

Nice door to the church

The church had this statue.  I don't know who he is and I do not understand their fascination with death and skulls
Neptune was also their favorite roman god.

A view across the piazza with the fountain in the middle and the frescoed building on the other side.

And another door knocker
